Description:

Is it possible to release kernel 2.6.24.6 while we wait for the .25 series please?

I'm sure alot of people won't want to make the jump to the .25 series until packages/drivers are 100% for the .25 series.

Thanks.

why don't you use abs for it?
Comment by Jud (judfilm) - Sunday, 04 May 2008, 11:50 GMT
Yeah ABS is great for me but I was thinking of the majority of the user base - I believe it would be of great benefit.

well, a new kernel version HAS to go through testing before it hits core. and 2.6.25 has already been there for a long while. which drivers dont work in 2.6.25?

The current stable Nvidia drivers have some issues. Beta drivers are available and have been stable for me, but I can understand why some would want to avoid them.

PS - 2.6.24.7 has been released with what seems an important SMP fix.
