Could you plead add the patch to mplayer for PulseAudio support?

There's a patch in PulseAudio's web page that adds support to PA

* config and/or log files etc.

This is not a patch that brings the need of a community package but for the possibility of using PulseAudio AFAIK.
Also mplayer doesn't have ESD support and SDL output doesn't work for me either.

Ah, it just updates old PolypAudio support to new PulseAudio.

Past experience showed that we shouldn't patch mplayer for any more than bugfixes/security fixes.

This is a bugfix. It just replaces outdated libao2/ao_polyp.c with ao_pulse.c and updates configure to get it working.

If it isnt included in the MPlayer v1.0rc2 version try the -svn one in [unstable] or submit your request to the developers of the projects. You are most welcome to open a new report if & when pulseaudio gets in extra or if support for it wasnt enabled in the configure options of the package.
