Hi
When I upgraded to the new source built version of OO 2.2, I could no longer perform slide shows using impress. All presentation documents would crash openoffice. I have a separate bug report for the missing crash tool that I needed to try to debug this issue. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/6832 Version 2.0.4-1 works perfectly. I also created a local PKGBUILD to install the prebuilt binary version of 2.2 from openoffice.org. It also works perfectly. So, I am guessing, that it is an arch issue. Because there is no logging information, there isn't much that I can provide about the crash with the arch source built version of OO-base. Perhaps one way out is to continue to support a separate package called openoffice-base-bin, similar to gentoo. Essentially, this is what I have done by modifying the 2.0.4-1 PKGBUILD to give myself a temporary fix for this issue. Thanks Kev |
