Description:
I was writing a random parser of the pacman database format out of boredom and reading the Arch Linux wiki page on Arch Linux's packaging standards. After adjusting it to include some of the more common non-alphanumeric characters (+, -, .), I noticed that there were two packages that stood out that still didn't match to these. So I decided to browse the online package database to see if I could view it there. Additional info: pacman 4.0.1-4 firefox 9.0.1-1 Violating package names: * kde-l10n-ca@valencia * koffice-l10n-ca@valencia Steps to reproduce: 1. Search "l10n-ca@" in the online package database 2. Try clicking on one of the package names Expected: View the package info Actual: Page not found (this happens even if I remove the @ sign in the page info url and replace it with %40) Proposed solutions: 1. Rename the offending packages so they doesn't contain an @ sign. 2. Fix the online database so it can deal with @ signs in package names. |
