Description: I had noticed that at midnight my laptop started some heavy background work that lasts around 10 minutes, using top I noticed that the process taking so much CPU is mandb. Searching the Forum, I have noticed that I'm not alone, see this thread http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=72332
As the forumer camphor, I run mandb as root and got a similar output, that is to say mandb seems to make the database from scratch every midnight, instead of updating it.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
man-db 2.5.5-1
* config and/or log files etc.
