Mine does the same with the same kernel version on Arch x86_64.

I have pm-utils 1.2.5-1, catalyst 9.5-1, catalyst-utils 9.5-2

The suspend is done correctly but when when I resume the screen remains black and my cpu fan starts spinning up very loud and I noticed my cpu is really warming up.

What is the status of this with the latest kernel26-2.6.30 ?

The problem has gone away with the latest kernel26 from testing.
