When starting gnucash, I see the splash screen, my .gnucash file is read and then gnucash aborts, before showing the main window. The following appears on stderr:

gnc.bin-Message: main: binreloc relocation support was disabled at configure time.

: /usr/lib/gnucash/libgncmod-generic-import.so: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr
: /usr/lib/gnucash/libgncmod-generic-import.so: undefined symbol: g_assertion_message_expr

The same version fails to build from source on my box. It appears that one of the libraries gnucash depends on was built against glib-2.16. Relevant glib bug report: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=511975

GnuCash opens and I get same error when I click on New.
