DetailsDescription:
After upgrading to xorg-server 1.4.0.90-9 I noticed that chars obtained by my AltGr key is broken, i.e I do not get regular chars via eg. Altgr + ',' or AltGr + '.' which should produce '<' and '>' respectively, Similar situation with AltGr + v which gives '@' etc. By looking at CVS entries I see there is new xkb-fixes.patch which I'm thinking is responsible for this. Reverting back to org-server 1.4.0.90-8 'solves' the problem. Additional info: * package version(s) xorg-server 1.4.0.90-9 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Sincerely, Gour |

FS#8855is now closed, this new report is more useful. When I set the layout with Gnome, everything works.
input devices to "standard", means kbd and mouse as drivers (not evdev)
Add the following to the xorg.conf. Note: This disables auto detection for input devices! But it's the only workaround i've found for now
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AutoAddDevices" "false"
EndSection
1.) You can set your locale again (so you have the right keyboard layout already on-start at the login manager).
2.) Keyboard layouts in KDE4 will work properly (Language, Hotkeys etc).
