DetailsThe jed editor also has a version for X Window System, called xjed. Please include it to jed package or make an independent xjed package as well.

I'll keep this open to remind me ;)
make xjed
to PKGBUILD script. Please refer to my jed package that I made a long time ago and that is still hanging in incoming.
i would suggest that xjed is included in jed pkg but that no dependency of x-server is added but only an post-install info that xjed is part of jed and you need an x-server to use it
