Description: wget is aborted on http downloading. It is seems, I already had met this, but I don't sure. Example:

I tried wget http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/wget/wget-1.10.1.tar.gz It is downloaded ok. I think "301 Moved Permanently" is key for reproducing this error.

Hmm, it's a known bug. It's the wget progress indicator that aborts because you're using a multibyte locale. try getting the file with "LANG=C wget [url]"

It's a duplicate of this one, and I don't like the fix mentioned in there (if we accept this fix, it should be fixed in the package, not on the users' system)

Where did you get this patch? I see there's some upstream work on solving this issue for 1.11.1, did you combine all the commits for this bug from the upstream hg repository?

I wrote it. It would to get current tree from upstream:( I got last release, it wasn't smart.

Upstream is further ahead, so this patch useful only for this version

Upstream released 1.11.1 today, which fixes this issue.
