Description:
Kate (and all programs using kate, like kdevelop) are almost unusable after update to 3.5.9.
OK, they are usable, but editing anything is really, really frustrating :/

This svn commit fixes the bug: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=777286

Steps to reproduce:
- Open kate from KDE 3.5.9
- Copy and paste text containing several lines -> cursor stays in the first line

Yes, and there is upstream patch for that. Also, it has been fixed before, was it any less upstream bug in kdelibs than it is in kdelibs3?

KDE doesnt update its packages with patches. Instead they provide new full source releases. If they solved it in March, it should be in latest source. If they didnt solve it you should have reopened THEIR bugreport not this one. All IMO.
