Description:
As stated on this thread http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43755 many users (I do) experience sound problems with latest kernel.
I haven't have the chance to downgrade kernel to try but bluesurfer did and it seems kernel related.

All bugs and hooks found on the web did not work

Steps to reproduce:
Have an Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) and latest kernel (my comp is an asus)
