kdm / X can't be stopped by running /etc/rc.d/kdm stop. Instead it's always be restarted. Additional info: * package version(s) xorg-server 1.4.0.90-6 kde 3.5.9 and I think 3.5.8 Steps to reproduce: - Starting kdm by inittab at boot time. - Login as root on a text console (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+F1) - /etc/rc.d/kdm stop |
