Details

Description:
In Gnome if i first unplug the lan cable and then click on shutdown or restart the computer will freeze(the mouse and keybord work but the button is clicked) and won't do anything.Then i have to hit CTR+ALT+BACKSPASE to shutdown or restart .

yes it still happens when i unplug the lan cable. it looks like the system doesn`t understand that.

Does this still apply to gnome 2.24 which is in testing?

About your problem: the only thing I can think of in your situation is a network filesystem that is critical for your system. When you unplug the network cable, NFS filesystems will hang forever until you plug the cable back or a timeout happens for example.
