DetailsDescription:
Hey. I've problem with quake wars on new nvidia drivers. After kernel, nvidia and nvidia-utils (from 169.09-2 to 169.12.1) upgrade quake wars crashes after about ~5 minutes of playing. Before upgrade it was working fine, without any problems. Direct rendering is working, glxgears too. I've tried to look in qw log (cd ~/ETQW, ./etqw | tee ~/log or ./etqw > ~/log) but when I do this it hangs up on "loading ui". Additional info: * package versions nvidia - 169.12.1 nvidia-utils - 169.12.1 kernel26 - 26.24.3-3 * config and/or log files etc. xorg.conf - http://wklej.org/id/a6d654efa9 Arch is up-to-date. Steps to reproduce: Install quake wars, upgrade nvidia drivers to the newest version, launch, join some server, play and wait for a crash. |

You can try update packages to version 171.06, maybe it has some fix.
nvidia 169.12-2
nvidia-utils 169.12-1
kernel26 2.6.24.4-1
gf8600GT
system is updated daily so I should have passed barteks config.
