After installing xf86-video-intel from extra I see this warning each time I run pacman:
warning: xf86-video-intel: local (2.2.1-1) is newer than extra (2.2.0-2)

pacman -Q | grep xf86-video-intel shows that the locally installed version is indeed 2.2.1-1.

Here is the desc file (xf86-video-intel-2.2.0-2/desc) from extra.db.tar.gz showing the mismatch between name and listed version.

It's weird that whenever this happens, it is one of Alex's packages. Alex, are you doing something different than I?

The qemu package for x86_64 has similar issue:  FS#9804
