DetailsDescription:
Since firefox has been moved from /opt to /usr, this pkg is out of date. As far as I know, it's lack of maintainer, too. We can see it's still located at /opt from the file list: opt/mozilla/lib/plugins/ opt/mozilla/lib/pkgconfig/ opt/mozilla/lib/ opt/mozilla/ opt/ etc/profile.d/mozilla-common.sh etc/profile.d/ etc/ And the most critical thing is that it has outdated files: mozilla-common.sh & mozilla-plugin.sh, which make other related pkgs (e.g. firefox, mplayer-plugin, flashplugin, xulrunner etc.) cannot be compiled in a right way. BTW, the jre pkg also creates a soft link here: /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so Would someone take care of this? |

Reason for closing: Fixed
Additional comments about closing: The package is still used, though it's just a profile.d scriptlet now, settig only the mozilla plugin path. The old /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins is still included for compatibility, but will get removed once all is gone from that location.

@Alex: should mozilla-common be removed now?

Isn't this more properly placed in the package request forum? - Since outdated packages are not technically 'bugs'.

If everything is moved to /usr, is mozilla-common still needed?

MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH isn't needed anymore if we ship all plugins in /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/plugins, but I don't know if konqueror and opera will pick up those plugins then.
