Hm? msg_status? We never had a function like this. Can you provide more info?

in /etc/rc.d/hibernate-cleanup # belongs to hibernate-script package
have a msg_status call when error occurs.
But, there is no msg_status in initscripts now.

Can you paste the exact output?
Comment by Daniel YC Lin (dlin) - Friday, 25 July 2008, 14:42 GMT
you can do
grep msg_status /etc/rc.d/hibernate-cleanup

I guess the msg_status is old function which were in initscripts.
But them disapear now.

No, I suspect msg_status was never a part of OUR scripts. If it were, it'd be named stat_msg to fit the naming scheme of the other status functions there.

I think this is just an issue of copying a initscript that was written more for another distro. I ran into the same issues with laptop-mode-tools

I think this is bug in hibernate-script. Because when error occurs, it will call the msg_status function, and cause error.
the hibernate-script should be modified to be used on ArchLinux

It has been modified, but some if it has been copied. Keep this task open until I get to updating hibernate.

I replaced those calls with stat_append, tell me if that looks okay.
