Description:
When playing any PCM sound, including FLAC/MP3/CD Audio/soft synthsizer/Skype/etc., I find the sound quality strangely changed (not a noise but I hear very well something like a buzz only for the moment of moving cursor). Downgrading the kernel to kernel26-2.26.22.9-1 make it disappear.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
kernel26-2.6.24.3-1
* config and/or log files etc.
Nothing touched, no log exists for this problem.
* hardware
Compaq/HP nc4010, snd_ali5451 driver

Steps to reproduce:
Install the kernel mentioned above.
Play any PCM music with moving the mouse cursor.
It occurs both in X Window System and in console. In console no mouse cursor exists but it makes the same situation.

It didn't work. The sound still trembles when moving the mouse cursor.

In kernel26-2.6.24.3-3 the bad effect becomes less important (endurable) but it still exists. What has been changed between these two revisions ?

Exactly saying, the problem still exists and I can explain it better : the frequency of any sound goes down for every moment moving mouse cursor or doing heavy tasks ("find /", loading a heavy web page, etc.). Since "less frequency" means "overall slowdown" of the sound, I suspect a problem of something deep inside the kernel.

Try disabling CPU power-saving in the kernel, to see if it's caused by the CPU switching power-saving modes - see http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_with_high_pitch_noises

It doesn't work. And it is not a noise, it is a deformation of sound.
Additionally, kernel26vanilla (in AUR) 2.6.23.12-1 works well. kernel26-ice (in AUR) 2.6.24-4 has again the same problem. So I suspect that some changes in 2.6.24 made this problem.

Well... As a final try, following the given document, I turned off 'processor' and 'thermal' modules and it finally works for kernel26-ice. Thus I think that it will work samely for the normal kernel26. I want to know what change into kernel made this annoying situation, but I guess that it is beyond my knowledge...

I am testing new kernel 2.6.25.
- I notice that the problem is less serious, sometimes disappeared for Youtube, but I think that it is not only for 2.6.25 since it was the same on Ubuntu Hardy LiveCD (kernel 2.6.24.4).
- Also I observed that when I play something with mplayer and Youtube in the same time, suddenly the problem disappears on the both sound sources. I don't know whether it is by the chance or not, but it may mean something that I don't know...
