In order to run k3bsetup you need kdesu and kdesu is only installed with kdebase as far as I can tell. As far as I can tell only workaround is to install kdebase. Unless someone knows how to fix this so one only needs kdelibs then kdebase needs to be added as a dependancy for k3b.

MOD: taken the bug - dp

what's happening about this bug?

where is kdesu? kdebase? do i need to set kdebase dep to k3b? (a lot of people use k3b without wanting to have kdebase installed)

[damir@Asteraceae /]$ pacman -Qo /opt/kde/bin/kdesu
/opt/kde/bin/kdesu is owned by kdebase 3.2.3-1

yes

but i think, just informing people is also ok

Yeah I wasn't sure how you guys would handle this. I am assuming no one has said it cause most people that use it probably use kde aswell. Not a major thing and I was hoping that kdesu would eventually be migrated over to kdelibs..The only it hinders is running k3bsetup, which is needed to do initial setup.

damir i think put a install message to k3b that mentions that
i won't separate kdesu from kdebase

No msg was put in the k3b install process alerting users. Definatley don't need kdebase as a dep, but definately need a message that pops up after install alerting user.
