Description:
I am using banshee media player with gnome and its taking forever to start. When I start banshee from terminal and then quit I get this error. My system is upto date.

(Banshee:7847): Gtk-WARNING **: A floating object was finalized. This means that someone
called g_object_unref() on an object that had only a floating
reference; the initial floating reference is not owned by anyone
and must be removed with g_object_ref_sink().

Do you still have this issue with the new version of banshee in extra, ie banshee 0.98.1-1 ?

Sorry for the late response. I don't use banshee any more so can't say. As no one else has responded with the same problem it seems it was an issue with my installation only.
