Details

Description: wget ends with the following message:

"wget: progress.c:972: create_image: Försäkran (eng. insurance) "p - bp->buffer <= bp->width" falsk (eng. false). Avbruten (eng.disrupted) (SIGABRT)"

To avoid confusion I added in brackets a translation of key words. Both HTTP and FTP produce the same failure.

See thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=44358, or http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=44165

The solution in the first thread points to a patch in makepkg, but to my understanding this isn't the root of the problem but a workaround for makepkg and isn't dealing with the wget issue, or am I wrong?

Additional info:
* package version(s) - 1.11-1
* config and/or log files etc. - see above

Steps to reproduce: wget directly or other applications depending on wget, like makepkg.

Just like in the thread provided it proves to be a locale issue. If switching from "sv_SE.utf8" to "en_US.utf8" wget starts to work correctly, without any disrupted downloads. At least it ones more shows that makepkg in itself isn't the problem, but wget.
