Perdon by my English I work only with console, i do not use Xwindow, i use frame buffer matrox y kernel 2.6.23-14, the system configured to UTF-8 but the keyboard mode unicode operate only on the first VT. This is not the case with kernel 2.6.24-2, now it works ok.
