DetailsDescription: The kbd,setfont could be uninstall, if the initscripts do some testing.
Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to modify the initscripts: Edit the file etc/rc.sysinit, locate the line umount /proc/bus/usb and replace it with grep -qw usbfs /proc/filesystems && umount /proc/bus/usb Locate the block with "kbd_mode" and "loadkeys", encapsulate this in an if-fi-block: if [ -x /bin/loadkeys ] ; then ... /usr/bin/kbd_mode ... ... /bin/loadkeys ... ... fi The same for the "setfont" some lines after: if [ -x /usr/bin/setfont ] ; then ... /usr/bin/setfont ... fi |

kbd is an important part of base, if user wants to remove some base packages - (s)he should know what (s)he is doing and what packages should not be removed in any circumstances.
