Description:

The .24 kernel is unable to load the acerhk module (file not found). Copying the module from the .23 dir to the new one, does not work ether

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

acerhk 0.5.35-7

[root@arch Desktop]# modprobe acerhk
FATAL: Could not open '/lib/modules/2.6.24-ARCH/kernel/drivers/block/acerhk.ko': No such file or directory

When I tried to use the old one:

FATAL: Error inserting acerhk (/lib/modules/2.6.24-ARCH/kernel/drivers/block/acerhk.ko): Invalid module format

I think it might got obsoleted after this commit:

Did you check if hotkeys work out of the box with 2.6.24 kernel?

Ah, ignore my previous comment. That commit is too old. :-)
But I cannot find anything related in kernel changelog. :-/

Damn, I've missed "acerhk 0.5.35-7" in Details.
It's in Community, and thus hasn't been rebuilt at the time when kernel was in Testing.
Assigning to the maintainer...
In the meantime you can rebuild the package by yourself.

I would already have updated this module, but at the moment it doesn't compile with the 2.6.24 series. I'm investigating right now.
