The .24 kernel is unable to load the acerhk module (file not found). Did you check if hotkeys work out of the box with 2.6.24 kernel?
But I cannot find anything related in kernel changelog. :-/
It's in Community, and thus hasn't been rebuilt at the time when kernel was in Testing.
Assigning to the maintainer...
In the meantime you can rebuild the package by yourself.
