DetailsDescription:
slang package is missing the libslang.a file which makes impossible to build some packages Solution: 'make install' should be changed to 'make install-all' (this will build and install the 'static' target) Additional info: When trying to build libnewt - it complains at 'cc ... -lslang' stage that slang cannot be found. Though when I've tried to build jed - it builds ok, and readelf -d shows a dependency on libslang.so.2 I don't know why there is a difference. :-/ Steps to reproduce: 1) Try to build the attached PKGBUILD 2) Now rebuild slang with 'make install' changed to 'make install-all' and install it 3) Try to build the attached PKGBUILD again and see that it builds 4) see that executable and library files that were built actually depends on a shared slang library and not built with static slang built-in: $ readelf -d pkg/usr/lib/libnewt.so | grep slang 0x00000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libslang.so.2] $ readelf -d pkg/usr/bin/whiptail | grep slang 0x00000001 (NEEDED) Shared library: [libslang.so.2] |
This task depends upon
PKGBUILD
Build with:
make PROGS="whiptail whiptcl.so testgrid testtree showchars showkey"
to exclude the test target works fine.
Thank you! :-)
