Details

Description:
after installing gnome
# pacman -S gnome gnome-extra
the trash icon on the desktop never shows items in it
even when ~.Trash is full of trash

and when I open the trash icon / folder from the desktop
nothing is showen

when a flash drive has items deleted on it they show in the
trash folder from the desktop


Additional info:
I am running an encrypted root( http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LUKS )

Steps to reproduce:
create item / folder
delete folder

to emprty trash
# rm ~/.Trash/*


(sorry if this bug has already been reported but I couldn't find it)

What's the output of mount on your system? I guess nautilus/eel/gnome-vfs doesn't detect your trash directory somehow. This won't get fixed with the current versions of gnome-vfs/eel/nautilus anymore, maybe they're fixed in GNOME 2.22, where gnome-vfs is replaced by GIO/GVFS.
