DetailsWhen used nonstandard (eg. /var/mysql) path @ /etc/conf.d/mysqld) script don't work properly. Small diff follows:
[root@io rc.d]# diff orig mysqld 39c39 < /usr/bin/mysqld_safe &>/dev/null & --- > /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=$MYSQLD_ROOT &>/dev/null & When passing datadir to mysql (throw mysqld_safe script) all works fine. Otherwide, mysql won't start. Ray |
