DetailsWhen using the Auto-Partition function of the Archlinux installer, it does not set the Bootable flag on the boot partition, which is mandatory for at least my AHA2940 hostadapter to recognize the partition on bootup as the partition to boot from. This problem has been already existent in 0.4, and persists in the 0.5beta.iso as well, at least in the "first edition" with the "Kernel could not be installed" bug. This affects booting from an IDE disk as well, at least here. If I set the bootable flag manually after installation, everything works fine.
