Looks like the man pages are installed in the wrong directory since the only way to read them is to give the page full path. Additional info: $ pacman -Q e2fsprogs e2fsprogs 1.40.4-1 Steps to reproduce: $ man e2fsck No manual entry for e2fsck $ man /usr/share/man/man8/e2fsck.8.gz <This is OK> This is true for every man page provided by the "e2fsprogs" package. |

Updated man package is in Testing and will move to Core soon.
Meanwhile just unset (comment) MANPATH in your man.conf
