Details

Description:

decode_dimms.pl script to decode SPD information from DIMM memory modules is missing. From my point of view, it should be included in lm_sensors package.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
lm-sensors 3.0.0-3 (I tested x86 and x86_64).

Steps to reproduce:

Script is missing so you cannot reproduce without getting the script. Any serious reason why script for decoding SPD information was not included in lm_sensors package?

I installed lm_sensors package to my Arch system and get decode_dimm.pl script from Ubuntu. I loaded eeprom module. And it works:

[arch]$ ./decode-dimms.pl | head -30

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  the scipt is from trunk and not shipped in the source for some reason. i'added a post install message how to get it working and placed a new section into our wiki.
