The CDT feature provided by eclipse-cdt package in extra stops working when EMF from the Europa discovery site is installed with the update manager. Additional info: * package version(s) Name : eclipse Version : 3.3.1.1-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: 1. Uninstall eclipse and purge everything related. 2. pacman -S eclipse eclipse-cdt 3. Create a C++ project and a C++ file in it 4. Open the C++ file in the editor 5. Install "Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) Runtime + End-User Tools" from Europa discovery site 6. Agree to restart the workbench 7. Notice the errors saying that Eclipse cannot launch the CDT editor 8. Notice how C++ files no longer have specific icons and are opened using system association if you double click on them. CDT is completely defunct, it doesn't even show up in Manage Configuration. |

Actually it seems that installing **anything** with the update manager renders CDT provided by eclipse-cdt package inoperable. No, just removing and reinstalling eclipse-cdt will NOT help once it became broken by installing something with the update manager. Fortunately CDT can itself be installed with the update manager after removing the eclipse-cdt package.

This should be fixed with the new eclipse. I'm now using the "dropins" directory in eclipse 3.4 to properly drop the cdt material in.
