FS#9224 - udate to git 1.5.3.7-1 broke the existing public repositories on the machine

Description:
When upgraded to git-1.5.3.7-1 the public repositories on the machine no longer work.
If i try to clone the repositories it doesn't work.
If i try to have info by git-log locally it say: fatal: Not a git repository.

Hmm. git-1.5.3.7 has been out for quite some time and no one else has reported this. I for one had no problems with 1.5.3.7 and any type of cloning.

Can you please clarify what "the machine" and "the repositories" are? Your message is a bit vague here.

How long ago were these repos created? I'm sure at some point breaking changes were made to the format... if they are from like 1.2 or something, I could see this being the case.

Could you check your pacman log to see what version you upgraded from?

the machine is the computer with archlinux installed
and the public repositories are directories under public_html created by cloning a git local repositories as described here:

Do you still have a .git/ directory inside the repositories? Could you possibly give us the URL to your repositories so that we can attempt?

i have remake the public repos as new. sadly i need it working.
The broken repos was deleted :/
