Description:
Empathy IM (http://live.gnome.org/Empathy) cannot bring up chat windows as mission-control segfaults. Patch to fix this is out there. See: http://packages.gentoo.org/package/net-im/telepathy-mission-control (patch attached) for a reference to the patch that fixes the issue. This pretty much makes empathy useless. Additional info: Package version: empathy:0.21.4-1 libtelepathy:0.3.1-1 python-telepathy:0.13.13-1 telepathy-butterfly:0.1.4-1 telepathy-gabble:0.7.1-1 telepathy-glib:0.7.0-1 telepathy-mission-control:4.51-1 telepathy-salut:0.1.9-1 Steps to reproduce: Make sure you have the latest packages from community/core/extra (pacman -Syu). Install the above packages -Start empathy on command line (EMPATHY_DEBUG=all empathy) -Configure gmail/msn for chat -Attempt to initiate chat with a contact -Nothing happens. -observe empathy logs |
