Details

Description:
Blender (package blender, version 2.45.1) segfaults when trying to open a file. When started by a console, it prints:

[somebody@somewhere~]$ blender
Compiled with Python version 2.5.1.
Checking for installed Python... got it!
Segmentation fault

Steps to reproduce:
* run blender
* click at the Menu: File -> Open

do you have tcl/tk from testing installed?

i was using tcl/tk from extra. just upgraded to those from testing and blender still segfaults.

Blender crashes with segmentation fault even when you save a file.

hm, do you have ~/.blender directory? (I remember some older report that was solved by just creating it)

Seems like a duplicate of  FS#8716 . Please confirm.

Confirmed with blender from extra repo. But blender-svn inside AUR are ok.
