The source doesn't seem to download currently. The source=(http://belnet.dl.sourceforge.net/$pkgname/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz)

Should be changed to
source=(http://dl.sourceforge.net/$pkgname/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz)
IMO at least, it solved it for me.
