Reason for closing:  Works for me
Additional comments about closing:  poppler-glib stays a makedepends, as it is not needed to make gimp working

poppler is optional as it is used only from a plugin, I never got that error, means, I always could open the imp without poppler installed, I just could not open pdf files. Which settings did you change on gimp?
