- extra/zip
- extra/unzip
- extra/kdeutils (Ark Archiving Tool) (?)
- other (?)

7-Zip can be used to extract larger files but error from zip/Ark - "error: invalid compressed data to inflate" - can be misleading for average users.

1) are there patches somewhere?
2) if zip utils will be patched - will ordinary zip archives (<3GB) created with them be read by non-patched utils & zip software on other platforms? (i.e. is the format backwards compatible?)
e.g. I remember that recent versions of WinZip can be not backwards compatible depending on selected compression option (which is absolutely cruel because zip format hasn't changed for years, and the having 2 different formats with the same extension is stupid).
