Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Damir removed group gimp from gimp-fourier, and we decided the other overlapping groups made sense.

I don't think this is a problem. In the bmp case you could install all the plugins, just the IO plugins, just the visualization plugins, etc. There's no rule that a package can't be in multiple groups.

ah i see your point. i never thought of it that way.
what about the gimp one though? i dont see the point in belonging in 2 groups. i see gimp-fourier was built 2 years ago. maybe there was a plan for those 2 groups that was never fullfilled at the time?
also i fail to see the use tof the pvr group but maybe thats just me.
anyway gimp-fourier is out of date . i will point damir here when i flag it
Comment by Damir Perisa (damir.perisa) - Friday, 28 December 2007, 19:03 GMT
i will remove the group "gimp" from gimp-fourier. the gimp-plugins group makes sense, the gimp as such is the name of the tool itself.

It appears to me we've gotten all the benefit we can out of this bug report. I will close it in one week unless someone points to something else we should do.
