DetailsDescription:In Arch 64 only, when you try to run any of the Gnome-System-Tools such as time-admin, system-tools-backends cannot verify the root password. When time-admin is run in a Terminal window, it yields the following error:
(time-admin:19569): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. [1]+ Done time-admin Downgrading to system-tools-backends 1.4.2-2 fixes the problem. This is Arch 64 related only, this problem does not exist on my two Arch i686 systems. Additional info: * package version(s) system-tools-backends 2.4.1-6 systems-tools-backends 1.4.2-2 gnome-system-tools 2.14.0-3 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Try running any of the gnome-system-tools in a fully updated Arch 64 |
