DetailsDescription: /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text attempts to execute appres for text-based screensavers e.g. phosphor and starwars. If xorg-res-utils is not installed these screensavers output an error message that appres cannot be found.
Additional info: * xscreensaver-5.04-1 * [neil@aurora ~]$ grep appres /usr/bin/xscreensaver-text my $body = `appres XScreenSaver xscreensaver -1`; Steps to reproduce: 1) Install xscreensaver without xorg-res-utils and activate e.g. phosphor or starwars screensaver 2) Observe the error message output in the screensaver preview or screensaver itself |
