An issue like this has likely been fixed in our 3.1 codebase, so hopefully that is the case.
If you can reproduce it, --debug output and/or running "catchsegv pacman <operation>" would be great to have.
You may be able to reproduce it by uninstalling all these packages, clearing the packages out of the cache, and then trying again.
I said "yes". Now, when i was trying to remove e17, I noticed imlib2-devel isn't listed for removal. Should i remove it, ignoring dependencies, then install imlib2, clean cache and reproduce?
pacman -Rdns imlibd2-devel;
pacman -Rns e17;
pacman -S imlib2;
pacman -Scc
Installing e17 then goes ok....
