Description:

Sometimes I press shift but it's not recognized by Xorg
This is an upstream bug

Additional info:
[XazZ@darklight ~]$ pacman -Qi xorg-server
Name : xorg-server
Version : 1.4-5

xorg.conf is the same as before


Steps to reproduce:
Install xorg-server 1.4-5 and try to press shift+1 (you should get a ! - but I only get an 1)

This patch http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/xserver.git;a=commitdiff_plain;h=242f56f722243938e908d1957781ee53c2999783;hp=48ca5961caee62f2980017a6bdc96a1b4c747727 fixed the problem for me (thanks to shining for this link)
I've tested my patched xorg for ~2 days and I can say that the problem is gone

Thanks, I've been looking for this bug for a while. First I thought my typing skills started to become bad, after that I thought it was my keyboard.

xorg-server got updated a few days ago to version 1.4-6
This bug still exists in 1.4-6

I'll rebuild xorg-server with the patch applied again and test it - after that I'll give feedback

The gitweb patch mentioned above works for me, as does the one-liner patch I attached in  FS#8810  (which was just a subset of the gitweb patch). Can play d2x-rebirth with the Left Ctrl key now :)

The patch at  FS#8667  (and also  FS#8810 ) is just an inferior version of the first bit of the gitweb patch above ;)

Seems fixed in new version of xorg-server. Set pkgver=1.4.0.90 and comment out the patch commands.
