DetailsThis patch has been used in Debian for a long time, and also got accepted in up-stream PPP but after the 2.4.4 release.
Here's the Debian bug report, and the sollution: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=298582#20 The patch is accepted upstream: http://cvs.samba.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/ppp/pppd/main.c.diff?r1=1.153&r2=1.154&f=h This problem can be reproduced when running pppoe-server with user-space pppoe encapsulation. I think it also affects some pptp scenarios. |

Wow, this bug has been sitting around forever. Anyway, this should be fixed in ppp 2.4.4-8 from testing.
