Description:

Hi there!
Just taking a testing look at Archlinux on my search for an alternate linuxdistribution I wanted to install Seamonkey v1.1.6, but the repository contains outdated v.1.1.5.

It was not possible to compile the source, the compiler complained about errors in lines 71/73 from /usr/include/pango-1.0/pango/pangocairo.h

I was a little bit confused, as compiling under Ubuntu worked without problems. So I copied the header-file pangocairo.h from my ubuntu-partition onto my archlinux-partition and restarted 'make'.

It worked!
The source code of Seamoney was successfully compiled, I was able to install it to my homedirectory.

In this case seamonkey source was not compatible to Archlinux' pangocairo.h (5477 kilobyte) but I cannot except there might be cases under Archlinux which are not compatible to Ubuntu's pangocairo (3960 kilobyte). (I am not a coder familiar with these libaries.)

Additional info:
* package version(s): pango 1.18.3-1

Steps to reproduce:
download and extract seamonkey source, 'cd' to source-directory
$ ./configure --prefix=/home/your-username/bin/seamonkey116 --enable-application=suite
$ make

The attached headerfile is from an older pango version, we use the latest stable release. Did you use the pango patches when updating seamonkey? We don't have problems building seamonkey from source when using the PKGBUILD and its patches.
Note that mozilla is known to be very tricky on glib/gtk/pango/cairo versions when it's not patched.

pango patches? I cannot remember that i had installed patches for pango. Maybe pacman -Syu did it. Pango is at v1.18.3-1

Seamonkey source doesn't compile with newer versions of pango, we have patches for those in our seamonkey PKGBUILD.
