Description:
After install perl-libxml pacman shows:

I tried updating perl to 5.8.8-9 from testing but it doesn't work. I created a directory /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 and copied files in 'current' into it but it doesn't work either.

Then, please, what can I do next?

No, you should create /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/current and symlinks to it:

After a little research I solved the problem removing perl-libxml-common, installing XML-LibXML-Common-0.13 in the way recommend from CPAN, I mean following instructions at http://cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html and after that re-installing perl-libxml (and yes this install again perl-libxml-common) and now it's working. Seems to me that the problem is perl-libxml-common. Anyway, thanks for all.

on i686 (and perl 5.8.8-9) I haven't this problem
