"no-latin1" in rc.conf) Additional info: * package version(s) X.Org X Server 1.4.0 Build Date: 07 November 2007 11:19:12AM * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Select Norwegian "no" keymap either in kde or xorg.conf Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "no" Then the Norwegian special characters is displayed as "? ? ?" instead of "æ ø å" |

Note: Danish keymap works correct, which is similar to the Norwegian layout. But differs on the positioning of the special characters.

Fixed it. My mistake actually, in the past I have used LOCALE="en_US.utf8" in rc.conf, this has worked perfect (not anymore it seems). But switching to LOCALE="nb_NO.utf8" fixed it.
