Detailslibmpeg2 package depends on sdl, libsm and libxv
But they are not needed for the library, only for mpeg2dec utility included in it. I suggest to split this package to libmpeg2 and mpeg2dec. |

In fact, mpeg2dec and libmpeg2 they are two separate projects, but "The libmpeg2 source code is always distributed in the mpeg2dec package, to make it easier for people to test it."

go on and split it if you like. you can also maintain it if you want. c u on jabber/icq.

i suggest removing it from the depends and adding an install file stating if you want to use the mpeg2dec utility install sdl, libsm and libxv. this way everyone is happy? seems like there is gonna be a new release soon http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=20080430173900.GG1953%40biurrun.de&forum_name=libmpeg2-devel
