Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  Fixed by running "nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=2" on startup, see http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?i d=39547

Not a package problem.

Is this a PROGRAM problem or a PACKAGE problem?
If this is a program ( compiz-fusion ) isssue, we can't do anything

I don't know if this will help with gnome/compiz/gnome-terminal but in Openbox/urxvt a similar problem is fixed by running "nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=2" on startup. This, obviously, only works for Nvidia cards. For more info see this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=39547. This will be fixed, apparently, in the new nvidia driver.
