This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.23-ARCH) xinerama 0: 1600x1200+0+0 X Error of failed request: XF86DGANoDirectVideoMode Major opcode of failed request: 137 (XFree86-DGA) Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (XF86DGAGetVideoLL) Serial number of failed request: 69 Current serial number in output stream: 69 The output from "xinerama" on wasn't there before the upgrade. I might try the experimental xawtv 4 branch.
With my current software/driver combination starting xawtv results in a black screen and lockup. Zapping X didn't work all the time before anyway, so getting back to KDM involved a hard reset.
Output:

Tomorrow I'll test it on another machine with a different tv card and nvidia-173xx drivers, but I consider it fixed so far.

As I said before, "grabdisplay" mode sucks, but it's usable.
